US JUICE ® WONF
With Other Natural Flavors ("WONF") is the term used to describe the ingredients from natural sources, such as fruit, that are used to enhance the flavor of a beverage or a food. For example WONF is commonly used with high fructose corn syrup ("HFCS"), because HFCS has no flavor. If a 50% fruit juice beverage is to be produced using 50% fruit juice and 50% HFCS, WONF is added to replace the flavor that is lost by reducing the amount of fruit juice from 100% to 50%. WONF is highly concentrated. For example a recipe may call for one part WONF for every 400 parts of the remaining ingredients.
